I started dating a guy who is very good to me. He talkes of marriage and growing old together. Im not ready for that because Im not even divorced from my husband yet(seperated for a year). Am I wrong to just drop him, or should I try to convince him to be friends first??

I think it is important to be true to yourself. You may want to ask yourself why you got involved with him to begin with. If it is a relationship worth preserving, I wouldn't burn the bridge. If you need time on your own, perhaps you should honor that. If he is worth it, he'll understand. If you already have a sexual relationship, cutting it off completely is rarely an easy move. You are going through a major transition in your life, it would probably serve you and those you are involved with to work with a professional therapist now. Good luck! If you haven't seen the movie Prime, it might be worth checking out.

Well, the friend thing depends on the situation. If you've already gotten some needs filled (you know what I mean {wink}), it'll be hard to backtrack with this guy if he's already talking about a future.

I say be honest with him (minus brutally honest, of course). Say you don't want to end everything but aren't ready for the marriage stuff. If he doesn't back off, then you'll know it is time to drop him.

It sounds like you are passing up a good deal. You could be making the biggest mistake of your life. Get a divorce. Go slow. But don't discourage him.

Hi

Wow! That seems so hard to find a guy that knows how to treat a woman . I would sit him down and tell him how you feel about this . I would just tell him Let's take it slow for a while and hopefully he will understand .
