Has anyone ever tried this? If so, what is your recipe?

Guess the other guy doesn't like Ruffles with Ridges; sure, coat the grill first with a little bit of spray oil and go for it. The only thing I have tried that didn't work to well on the GF grill was fish - it is too delicate.

Plantains should be sturdy enough to use on the grill, besides the grill marks might just give them some extra charachter!

I think you can if you have the flat griddle surface. they don't look good rippled. I on the other hand pan fry my plantains not grill them.
