Excel accepts and converts these. Database programs will accept those too. Comma Separated Values.

The .CSV extension means "comma separated values." Excel should be able to read it. I suggest that you first run Excel, then try to open the CSV file from inside Excel.

If you still don't have any luck, then you probably need to add more converters to your Office installation. Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs, open up the MS Office entry, and insert your Office CD at the prompt. The converters you need will either be under Excel or under general Office utilities; I don't remember which right off the top of my head.

If you have a productivity suite other than MS Office, it's the same general principle: try opening the file from inside your spreadsheet program, and install more converters if that doesn't work. Good luck!

A CSV file can be opened in a Text Editor (Notepad on Windows) or in a spreadsheet. CSV is a comma-delimited file.
