Slather the butter on both halves of the baguette. If you have a garlic press, put the mashed garlic on top of the butter. If not, chop up garlic in small pieces and put on top of butter. If you have garlic powder or salt, sprinkle some on top of that. You can also add Paprika for a zippier taste or some mozarella cheese.
Oven temp shoud be 400 degrees. Bake both half halves for about 15 mins or when bread is crispy and butter is bubbling.
Good Luck and Yum!

Mash the garlic, melt the butter and stir the garlic in. Put the sliced bread on a cookie tray. Use a pastry brush to brush the butter mixture onto the bread slices, both sides. If you have it, sprinkle each side with chopped parsley for color. If not, it's ok. Put the bread in the oven and set to broil. It will only take a few minutes to cook. Watch it carefully because when it starts to brown, it will brown quickly. When the top has browned, slide the tray out, flip the bread, put it back in and cook the other side.

One way to do it is to roaast the garlic (cut off the very tip of the bulb add a little bit of olive oil and put in in a 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes). after the garlic is roasted you can spread it on the bread, this is awesome I love fresh roasted garlic bread. Another way to do it is to rub the garlic (raw) on the bread but I do not like the way this tastes since it is just raw garlic on bread!

finely chop the garlic - then saute the garlic in the butter - not too long though - you do not want to burn the garlic.
Then dip the bread in it to soak up the butter and leave the garlic on the bread
Then put it under the broiler of your oven till golden brown - keep a good eye on it so as not to burn it.
Enjoy!!

Dang!!! yet another set of excellent alternatives. easily, i'm no longer a extensive fan of beef, so the chops with the tater may well be out. i like a good veggie burger (Boca Burger) with some curly fries or some filled shells with a valuable wealthy tomato sauce observed with the help of a few buttery garlic bread and a twig of unpolluted parsley to decrease the undesirable breath.

Easy way: mash the garlic, mix with melted butter, and spread on the bread. Sprinkle with salt and perhaps parmesan cheeze.
