I know engineering degrees are hard but not all are created equal. In the spectrum on engineering degrees where do these three fall? To give me a point of reference, which is the easiest of all engineering degrees? I'm assuming EE or aerospace is considered most difficult.

You are correct that all engineering degrees are hard. At most schools the first two years of any engineering degree are almost exactly the same. If you can do math and science easily they are not to bad. My degree is in mechanical engineering which I never considered to be all that difficult. Most people I know would say civil is about as easy as engineering gets but none of them are easy.

I received my BS in Civil Engineering almost 10 years ago and I did not think it was a "walk in the park." Those that say civil is easy don't have a clue. Try designing a suspension bridge in California (say, in San Francisco with that Bay area soft clayey soil). I believe Civil Engineering to be the most broad of all engineering fields. Civil Engrs usually specialize in a certain area like: Structural, WaterResources or Hydraulics, Geotechnical, Transportation/Traffic, or even Environmental. There are some who do it all. I deal mostly with work involving structures and hydraulics. The other areas I can deal with but would rather not...I find those boring. To answer your question, I would say the "easiest" would be one thats the least technical and conceptual. Industrial Eng. would be the one. Civil, Environmental, Ag & Arch Eng are somewhat similar. Of these 4...civil is your best bet. A civil and pretty much do what the other 3 encompass. However, the other 3 fields cannot do everything a civil can do!! Yes. EE and Aero I'd say are tougher. You have to be a MEGA-dork to pursue any of those. Job Market for Civil is better though.

A Civil Engineering degree is easier than a Aerospace or a EE, but you still have to struggle through the same basic physics & calculus as everyone else. I would say a Civil Engineering degree is medium hard, and the Agricultural Engineering is below that. The easiest is usually assumed to be Industral Engineering.

None is hard,it depends on u ,if u like sitting in office go for designing but u should be good in calculation,if u want field and research go for environment but u should be good in chemistry.... and for agriculture u should be good in soil physical and chemical properties...it depends on ur likeness and interest.

Very difficult. Look it up on the internet. You have to be very dedicated and have lots of time to study.

you will find environmental under a civil umbrella, which would include trans., structural, hydro, geotech, etc. agricultural eng is a stand alone from civil.
