One thing that you do have to consider is that a lot of the old school players of poker won these bracelets when there was only 50 - 100 people in the World Series. Sure they are good, but they also just have the money to enter every tournament possible. Maybe I'd have 20 bracelets if I could enter every tournament. It really comes down to how much you can afford to enter.

I'm not saying these guys aren't good, but there are other mundane factors to consider in their wins that many of us just don't have the option of doing.

It's hard to judge who's "best" considering the number of factors involved. All of those guys clearly have an amazing understanding of the game, but each has different strengths and seems to do better in different circumstances and depending on how the cards fall.

Personally, I always root for Danny Negreanu. He's entertaining and I like his style.

The Ladies Only tournaments are just a fun exhibition, I think. As a female player myself I can say it would probably be a lot of fun to sit down with a bunch of other women and play a game for just the girls, because in a normal tournament setting I usually find myself at tables full of guys. Given the ratio of male to female players, in a normal setting it's rare to have multiple women at a table. An all female table would pretty much never naturally happen at a large tournament, so "Ladies Only" is something of a novelty.

Daniel N is the best technical player in my opinion.
Gus Hanson is always coming up with great plays.
The Unabomber is always good for a laugh.
The Magician plays great but has poor luck on televised shows.

I hate:
The Mouth
Phil H.
and any other attention seeking dork who shouts off his mouth to gain TV dollars...

It's tough to answer that question. Especially giving you only one name.

So I go with, (and why):
P.IVEY= One of the best high limits cash games
D.NEGREANU= Big winning in cash games+tournaments
D.BRUNSON= The legend, without him....poker might not be where it is now + of course, great player
P.HELLMUTH= great tournament player, 10 bracelets in Holdem
J.HARMAN= Best female poker player, play the big cash games, and has good result in tournaments

But, like I said....picking one name......To hard, I can even give you more names. Anyway.

Take care
