I have been using window vista home premium since long and have no problem, if there comes any problem go to microsoft website they will tell you how to solve it by checking the configration of the software you are using, only if you have genuine version, They will check what is cause of the error. It is all is part of the vista. Go to the STAR which shows favorites and click on vista website, and you will reach the website, and follow instuctions. Or may be your Graphic card is not compatible for vista. Check your computer for compativelity at the vista website

Check for the Program Compatability of both Programs on the Microsoft Website . Whether they are compatible with Vista or not

Format, reload XP.

Vista is still too new to use on a machine that you need 100% functionality from.

I have it on my studio laptop, and it seems to be running fine, but I only use it for audio programs, and soft synths. Plus it is only the 32 bit version of home premium, so the XP drivers for my USB/MIDI keyboard work.

There is only ONE way to fix Vista problems, right now, and there are hundreds of them. Dump Vista.
Its a looser, big time. It has hundreds of compatability issues, and more trouble than you can name. If Microsoft's engineers can not fix their problems, do you think you can?
Get rid of it and get a good open source software, such as Kubuntu, for free, at www.kubuntu.org
