In Isaiah 66:7-8, the prophet foreshadowed the re-birth of Israel. Isaiah describes a woman giving birth before going into labor, and he speaks of a country being born in one day. This accurately describes what happened on May 14, 1948 - when the Jews declared independence for Israel as a united and sovereign nation for the first time in 2900 years.

During that same day, the United States issued a statement recognizing Israel's sovereignty. And, only hours beforehand, a United Nations mandate expired, ending British control of the land. During a 24-hour span of time, foreign control of the land of Israel had formally ceased, and Israel had declared its independence, and its independence was acknowledged by other nations. Modern Israel literally was born in a single day.

Isaiah also said the birth would take place before there would be labor pains. And that too is precisely what happened. A movement called Zionism began in the 1800s to encourage Jews worldwide to move to Israel, which at that time was called Palestine. When the Jews declared sovereignty in 1948, the declaration did not follow a war for independence, but rather a war for independence followed the declaration. The birth was peaceful, the aftermath was painful. Within hours of the declaration, Israel was attacked by Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Israel prevailed in that war and expanded the size of the country by 50 percent.

Hi, i study in the manuscripts, and my specialty interest is in Prophecy; some minor fixups for you: When it is told that Israel was scattered and sowed, remember that there were many Tribes; Judah (jews) and Benjamin stayed behind along with the Levit.Priestline, but the other ten tribes were the ones scattered, and they are the ones in Scripture that will be called "Israel", not the Jews, which is just a short form of "Judah".
You need to realize that the houses split, so that you will see in the writings of the Prophets that the message will be to Judah and/or Jerusalem -or- to Israel, which is not the Country, but the ten tribes that went north; today they inhabit the free Christian nations. The ten tribes migrated north over the caucus mountains and became known as "caucasions". Judah did return on May 15, 1948, and this ushered in the Generation of the Fig tree, which is the final of the generations of this age. I assume you have read the Parable of the Fig tree?
If you trace those figs all the way back to the beginning, you will find them to be the covering of the sin committed by Eve (and Adam) in the Garden. They made an apron of fig leaves to cover the parts of themselves that sinned; note that it was not a mask to cover their mouths, but an apron to cover their private parts. That rabbit hole goes far deeper than most realize....At this present time, both the good and bad figs are presently in the area of Jerusalem. The final presence to come is the Antichrist who will sit in Jerusalem disguised as Christ, pretending to be Christ, professing that he IS Christ. Christ is as much as knocking on the door, we are so close.....
Prophecies are being fulfilled at a never before seen rapid speed; good studying; keep it up. God Bless you.

If you base an entire tribe off of an old book that tells them that they are Chosen and that a certain part of the Middle East is their promised land, of course it makes sense that they would eventually stake out a claim and get some of that land.

I didn't claim you were Jewish, just misinterpreting facts. The Jews had over 2000 years of history living their lives by a book that told them that they were PROMISED land in the Middle East. How are you surprised at all when a group of people, who have always been told they are promised land, actually capture some of that land?

Besides, all you need to do is look at all the violence in the Middle East these days to see that its not the happy ending you assume.

No. What you fail to comprehend is the certainty that human beings, on an identical time as animals, are unsleeping animals. We comprehend what we are doing, and we can see and sense soreness. We comprehend that soreness is undesirable for us all. The German inhabitants on the time of the Nazi's have been all Christians. those Jews died on the palms of Christians. not dazzling, thinking what number have died at their palms in the time of background.

Happy
Love it! It's great to see it listed as you did.
I am not Jewish, but love the Jewish people. They are God's chosen. I feel theiy are special even today in my life. They are my brothers and sisters. I consider myself Christian, but, sometimes even feel jealous of them cause I'm not Jewish. I know that doesn't make sense, but, I wish I had some Jewish heritage.
