I was just wondering if anyone has used any kind of dried berries (blueberry, cherry, cranberry, raspberry combo) for pancakes? Are they okay? I sent my bf out for frozen berries, and he got dried ones instead.

The problem with dried berries is that they tend to be hard. Many people soak them in water to try and plump and rehydrate them. I even read that people boil them in water for the same reason. Too much effort

I'd go back to the frozen kind. They're tastier and can be defrosted easily. Send him back to the store.

All dried fruits casn be used in pancakes. Before you fold them into the batter, soak them for a few minutes in hot water, to plump them. Drain and blot dry on paper towel. Then add them to the batter.

Should be ok. Let them sit in the batter a couple minutes to soften maybe.
