Good question. I guess God desires a disciplined mankind. So, honestly, even though we lust very heavily for sex while we are in our teens, and adulthood....... we are supposed to keep the desire in check until we find a mate ..... and then lust as much as we want for our wife or husband.
Thats the way its spose to work in the Bible .... but, doesnt really work too well in the world.

There is an important difference between sexual desire and lust.
Sexual desire is non-specific. Every person, to some degree or another, desires sexual release...in whatever form most satisfies them.
Lust, on the other hand, is the desire for sexual relations with a particular person.
As for the sinfulness of lust, while it is certainly something that should be controlled, it only becomes sinful when it crosses over into coveting. In other words, it is a sinful thought when the act itself would be sinful under any circumstance...for example, if the object of one's lust was a married person. To lust after someone with whom there is no inherent sin to cohabit with (in other words it can be done right) is not a sinful thought.

My understanding in the differences between lust and sexual desire as pertains to the Bible is that sexual desire is perfectly natural and is a form of the love between a man and woman that exists for the purpose of procreating. Lust, on the other hand, is a sin in that one feels strong sexual urges toward another person, or persons, but has no desire to procreate. Those urges are purely animalistic and are therefore viewed as sins.
It's a thin line really, and one that I find a bit hard to swallow, but I guess that's one of the funny things about the Bible, isn't it?

Soneone said that lust and sex are natural. In one sense is true. But there is love and lust. Love is like gold and lust is like iron. You mentioned the bilble, that means you have some sense of God. Ok. Love is for God, that mean everything that one does is for the pleasure of God. Now, in this material world, everything we do is for our pleasure, that is lust. When we say "is natural" that mean that our love for God has been transform into lust, and is lodge in our hearts, is spread through our body and is given vent through our senses. The act of sex is the culmination of this lust. But everything we enjoy separated from God is lust. Thus the wise living entity's pure consciousness becomes covered by his eternal enemy in the form of lust, which is never satisfied and which burns like fire. Therefore, this lust is the symbol of ignorance by which the living entity is kept within the material world. While one enjoys sense gratification, it may be that there is some feeling of happiness, but actually that so-called feeling of happiness is the ultimate enemy of the sense enjoyer.

He wouldn't. Lust could encompass a large area of desires. Money comes to mind.
Sexual lust is a very good thing in a monogamous relationship.
