Is there anywhere on the internet that I can learn Thai for free?

I am just trying to learn Thai as well as I can. My girlfriend cannot be here all the time as she works. Thank you for any help you can give.

To begin with, you should start at

Then after that go to the webs below. I'm not sure about the first web, but the second one has audio, and that may help quite a bit when you're trying to learn a language.

Ask your lucky girlfriend to buy you Thai tapes and beginner books, cards, magazines, etc. It'll probably work out better and help more, compared to staring at the screen so much, it's better for your health, more interactive and more fun too! :P

P.S Listen to the tapes at night - a lot of people believe your brain gathers information faster that way. :)
