I just had an operation the day before yesterday and I had 3 wisdom teeth cut out and a molar pulled. They gave me this stuff called happy juice and I think they injected something in my mouth. My face is still swollen and there is an outbreak of tiny red bumps in patches on my face. I can't remember if I had them before my operation or if i just got them. My face is kinda shiny too. What are all the possibilities that this could have been from? how do I lower the sweeling? and what can I do to get rid of this rash or allergy thing?

Call the dentist or oral surgeon ASAP!
Maybe nothing maybe something.. It is late for a reaction to the anesthetic. If animals can have extreme delayed reactions then why not humans........Good Luck!

If you think you're having an allergic reaction talk to the dentist/doctor that did your surgery. He/she might be able to verify it better and recommend what to do. Meanwhile, can you take some benadryl? If it's an allergic reaction (which it sounds like it could be) Benadryl will help alleviate some of the symptoms and may be what they suggest you do anyway. A real good indicator would be itching, but it doesn't HAVE to itch to be allergies.

It is important to determine if it is an allergy and what it was they used. This time you might only have a rash. Should you be exposed again it could be deadly (each time you see the allergen again it puts you at higher risk for anaphylactic shock) so make that phone call.

Good luck!

My dog had an allergy rash and I got antibiotics and steriods from the Vet. After it she kept licking herself making her belly red and raw and the Vet said that if they have had an itch before they can get in the habit of licking and licking and you need to break the cycle. She got a lampshade and again more antibiotics and steriods. It seems to do the trick! She now rarely licks but if I catch her I give out and she knows to stop :)

Call the dentist. He probably will give you meds to bring down the swelling.....or you could have an infection. Don't fool around, call him!

This may be an allergic reaction, so you should seek Medical Advice very soon.
