I've never gotten an answer to that. I can think of only two explanations for why a man would have that nickname, and neither one is particularly child-friendly. So does anyone know?

Yes, I do.. Humpy Wheeler gets his nickname from his father. Once his dad caught him smoking cigarettes when he was a young kid and they just happen to be CAMEL brand. This is where he got the nickname Humpy, odd enough. Growing up through high school, college football, and then racing, the name "Humpy" has stuck with him. Because "Like a rabbit" Wheeler just doesn't sound as cool.
