Although the filing deadline is April 17, 2007, the deadline if you have a refund due is 3 years from the filing deadline. That would be April 15, 2010 for the 2006 tax year.

Normally it is April 15th. Since it is a Sunday this year and the 16th is Emancipation Day celebrated in DC so the deadline is the 17th of April

April 17th for the IRS. CA is April 16th so check on your state's deadline because it might not coo respond with the IRS deadline.

Normally April 15th has always been the date it must be postmarked by. There have been few exceptions in recent years.
