Do one room each day and do it well, so it lasts a week.
We are all tired after work,. but you don't want to live in a sty.
Look at a small cleaning job, and don't try to take on everything at once.
Try making up a job list to be done weekly, post in on the fridge and maek off the jobs as you do them.
Get an old sock and run your hand over the furniture once a week and toss it in the wash.
DO one thing at a time... it works well.

I do a full clean up once a week. Other then that I do basic clean up. Before I leave the batroom for the last time in the morning I wipe up the sink and pick the towels up. When I leave the kitchen I put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and put everything away. I make the bed (and by make I mean I throw the blankets up over the pillows to keep the dog off them) as soon as I get up in the morning. I do at least one load of laundry a day and then finish the rest on my full cleaning day. It takes a lot of dedication to get used to keep a house clean when you work full time. You just have to make yourself stick to it.

Best cleaning inventions: Clorox clean up wipes and the dish scrubbers with the handles that hold the soap so you don't have to run a sink full of water. Those two things will save you tons of time. If you have a dirty pan and the rest of the dishes go in the washer you just turn the water on, wash it and your done. The wipes are self explanatory, they clean everything from the counter tops to the toilet (not in one wipe obviously) but you pull the wipe out, wipe up the mess, then toss it in the trash. I keep one container in the bathroom cabinet and one under the kitchen sink.

Let's face it....housework bites! Here's the deal though. I try to remember that my home is a reflection on me and that I want to be reflected as being clean and NOT lazy. I have times when I let it go a bit, every one does, kids, husbands, a late dinner after a long day that you don't feel like cleaning up after, etc. My best idea to help a routine is this.......I make a list of things that need to be done at least once a week (ie toilets, sheets, mopping, etc) and make a little chart and decide what days will work best for me to get those chores done. Like for me Wednesday is my best day for heavy laundry like sheets, and blankets & Monday is my best day for cleaning bathrooms, because we've all been home the weekend, and they need freshening for the week ahead, etc. It's hard to get it all done, maybe you could find some simple chores and delegate them out to family or roomates. If your wiped from work, splurge and hire a "reasonable" priced maid to come every 2 weeks to play catch up on the things you just haven't gotten to. Hope it helps! Good Luck!

You work full time? Sounds like you might have to hire help of some kind. Sometimes helps to hire someone close to you, but if need be you could try a professional service.

If it means enough to you, you will try to work something out. It is a good and rewarding exercise. Gets your circulation going and burns off calories.

Are you inviting people over to your house sometimes? Perhaps that would help as some impetus to realize that it is embarrassing for people to come over and find your house a mess.

It is also better for your health if you have a clean house.

I like to make a list of everything that needs to be done. That includes- pick up shoes on the corner, straighten up papers, pick up things under table. That way you break it down into manageable tasks, and it doesn't feel as overwhelming.
And do it by room. You can even assign a different day to each room in the house.

My friend likes to say that you should always leave a room a little nicer than how you found it. I think it's a lovely concept that I would like to apply someday, but it doesn't really work for me.

Clean the whole house. Then sit down and make a list like monday- clean bathrooms, tuesday- mop floors wednesday- clean fridge and do laundry change sheets. Then you can keep up with the regular stuff like vacuuming and dishes daily. Just some advice.

house work, if you hate doing it you always will. its just something you have to do . i dont know of anyone who really like it. This is my solution give your house one good cleaning once a month then hire a neighhood girl or guy wich ever to come over and do spot stuff. or hire a maid to clean your house once a week. my mom has a lady who does her house once a week for $20.
