Don't answer stuff like 3 years is a big difference blah blah blah, let me explain. I'm 13, and this guy is a brother of one of my friends at school. He's hot, he's nice, and he's romantic. I think he might like me. He is not one of those horn dogs, alright? He doesn't want to have sex until he's married, he's told me, we're pretty good friends. He's 16, but I'm very mature for my age, and I'm kind of tall, so that intimidates guys at my school, and they don't like me because of that. I like older guys because they're more mature and easier to deal with. He got held back in 1st grade, so yes, he will have graduated when I get out of 10th grade, but I don't really see that as a problem. Last night, my friend Sarah, this boy, and his younger brother and I went to the movies. I do not like his younger brother. And, we're both catholic, so that's good.

He sounds really nice, and believe me, its hard to find a nice guy to go out with these days. Also, age seems like a big factor now, but when you are 18 and the guy is 21 its not weird at all. The thing is, though, what about Sarah? Does she also like the guy? Make sure you won't be hurting anybody but if Sarah and the guy aren't liking each other, I'd go for it!
Just don't do anything goofy like quit school or anything like that. Keep focused, and maintain that intelligence that seems to shine thru your writing; you sound like a very mature, grounded individual; stay that way, and you'll do great. The world today is so full of sadness, if you can find happiness in this guy, then thank God for it.

You are so young that I garauntee that anyone that you date at your age will only end up just being an experience. You were just 12 not that long ago... If a 16 year old would date a girl that was just 12 not that long ago then I would think something was wrong with him. But I dont think you should date him... You are too young to deal with someone that much older than you. Meaning.. He will out smart you. You actually believe that he does not want to have sex until he's married? Poor Girl, You have a lot to learn. Dont rush life. Be 13 because what he wants in a girl can make you grow up faster than you need to.

If you are 13... then age really does make a huge difference. At 13, yes you still like boys, but should be more focused on school. At 16 is when you really start to blossom and mature and become more ready for an adult like relationship, regardless of how "mature" you think you are. Wait at least another year before getting involved with boys, focus on school and what you are going to do with your life. You dont want to be a bum, and you dont want to live at home with your parents forever. Grades really make a difference as far as which college's will accept you. So work hard and become something. I really see dont see anything wrong with that. My best friend and her boyfriend are 4 years apart. Thing is When he turns 18 it will be sort of a problem seeing how you will still be a minor and he will be an adult. Only thing i can tell you if that time comes and you guys are serious is to take a break untill your 18 then you guys can legaly together and it wont be a problem, but alot of things can happen within 3 years so you guys might get interested in other people and still remain friends who knows but never lose that bond that you guys have with each other. But there is nothing wrong with dating him. Good Luck!!!

I think the age difference is not a problem, BUT...
I think 13 is a little too young. I'm talking from experience. Now I am very sure that you think you are mature enough (I did!) but 6 years later you'll realize that hey, what was I doing at that age... Yeap. Just be careful not to go overboard. =)

Well that is perfectly normal, women are more mature than men, we grow mentally faster, so it`s normal for you to like older guys, you will always like older guys from now on, and it is good, because if you date a guy of your age, you will only get bored, so go on with it, you got nothing to lose, if you are a mature girl, you are capable to difference good of wrong, and you can be able to have a good relationship with boys older than you, good luck!! ;D

Frankly this is not the place to go for an answer to this question. Look, sex is great and wonderful and all that, but really, you shouldn't worry about it now. You have plenty of time. Also its normal to like a guy, but I bet sometimes you can't stand him either right? So just relax, take your time getting to know these feelings you are having and don't take this guy seriously.

Well, so long as sex stays out of the equation, there shouldn't be a problem with it, if you really are as mature as you think.
Just be careful. Guys are not always what they seem. Especially guys his age. He may not even do it on purpose. It's just the nature of being a teenager.
So long as you protect yourself and you get advice from others who may be more experienced than you, then you should be ok.

You are 13! Remember your only 13! No it isn't cool to like a 16 year old! I think you know why I say this. But I am going to say it any way. Your maturity is not impressive. You need to act 13 because you are. You have nothing to offer a 16 year old. As your not even allowed to date. I hope not any way.
Stick to boys your own age. You'll be safer!

ok , 1st of all you are only 13, think of what you can do... enjoy being teenager. Your young full of life & energy. I've been in your shoe b4 but, being a teenager you change alot (your mind)THINK ABOUT UR FUTURE. WHAT LIES AHEAD OF YOU. This are temporary happiness, sweetty. picture ur self w/ this guy 5 yrs frm now.
And about he's being not a HORN DOG, Girl wake up all Men r the same when it comes to sexuality. THEY ARE HORN DOG. probably not right now but sooner or later they real skin will show up.
