Why make such sweeping assumptions? I am Pagan, you have no idea what I believe...you haven't asked me.

Are you just completely insane or baiting and trolling? You already know the answer.
1. Evolution DOES NOT say that human beings came from Bigfoot (mythical), a Gorilla, an Orangutan, or any other monkey/ape. You religious really need to learn more about what you're trying to refute before trying to make others look like fools because you're the only ones that look like an idiot.
2. Evolution says that we evolved from a common ancestor with the apes/monkeys. Which is something you should have learned in high school and you should know better.
Go learn about the subject before you embarass yourself anymore. Please. Until you do, you're not ready to play with the big kids yet.

Well it depends on how far back you are talking as far as ancestors go, obviously recent ancestors are human, if you go back 50 million years, it would be a different story.
But you show your appalling lack of knowledge with your comment about Gorillas and Orangutans...we share a common ancestor, we did not evolved from them. You know, like how you and your cousin share a common ancestor, your grandparent? Understand? And Bigfoot? There's no such thing, no credible evidence for it's existence has been found.
And who said there's no Gods? You do realize I would hope, that Pagans are generally not atheists, they are polytheists?

um, your question is a bit off. Atheists, free thinkers and some pagans actually believe that our ancestor was NOT a human.. so I'm not sure what you're asking since you said that we're all convinced our ancestor was a human.
Personally, I don't care. I'm here now and that's what I deal with daily.. I'll leave the origins of the earth to the scientists who do that for a living. I'll read up on it and see how it pertains to me at this time in my life, and take it accordingly.

Why do Christains continue to believe that the theory of evolution is that humans came from monkeys....
EVERYONE NEEDS TO STUDY ANTHROPOLOGY!!!!!
Someone said it above...but the real evolution thought is that humans evolved from an ancestor that we have in common with other species of apes. We evolved into humans because we were forced to adapt. And other apes adapted as the environment forced them to adapt as well...
I HATE it when devout religious people claim that there is no such thing as evolution when it is happening all around us all the time...and we actuallly have proof of it happening....
I think you need to do some research and not just believe what someone who has no idea what anthropology is tells you to believe....its called thinking for yourself...is that so hard to do???

Hi Sport,
When you plant a radish seed, can you be sure it will grow into a radish? When you buy a roses, do they come as buds or fully opened?
Don't you think the Lord, being much more powerful than you, could have breathed life into that first single-celled creature then sat back, knowing, as sure as you know those roses will open, that 3 billion years later that cell would have evolved into thousands of species, one of whom would look up and deduce His existance?
Most Christians accept the theory of evolution. So do most Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and Jains. You don't have to be an Atheist to be educated.

Er... actually, there's plenty of Pagan stories about the gods creating humans.
That's not to say that evolution might not have been a part of that process - the gods could have easily used evolution as a tool.

I don't think we evolved from nothing. I do agree that the ape and human DNA are very close as well. But, it leaves the questions, why did we evolve while leaving our primal ancestors behind? Or is that they took on some of our characteristics because we were their predator and they evolved from something else or visa versa?

The DNA between humans and apes very close to one another and therefore we evolved from apes.
Sorry but this idea that "poof" we suddenly appeared does not make an sense and NO! it has nothing to with this so called belief. It has to do more with facts and proof. And there is no proof or fact that shows that we appear from nothing

A disbeliever in God does not mean that he believes in evolution. He might not have any belief. He either knows or don't know. He is cleansened from the virus of faith. About ancestors? I do not know. That's simple.
