I used Panoxyl (benzoyl peroxide) 10% gel on my face to help clear up a few pimples I have on my chin and around my mouth area. (I would say it is minor acne) Oh Boy..... do I regret it! I used it for three days and I am not going to use it again. My skin feels soooo dry, chapped, tender, leathery and tight.... ouch! It's so flaky and terrible looking. There is no way it can be camoflauged. I am going out later and just want to get rid of all the dry flaky skin and get my skin back to good condition. I exfoliated my face gently last night and applied lots of vaseline but it didn't make much of an improvement. Please does anybody have any good, quick, guaranteed to work remedies or treatments to recommend to me. Please help! Ps. I do know about panoxyl and it's strength and side effects so no lectures please. Thank you in advance for your answer.

I can only recommend Vitamin E oil not only for its beauty
but also for its healing properties.
Your skin will absorb it on application.
Apply it as often as you like not only on your face but all over.
Your skin will appreciate it.
I get mine from Holland & Barrett (UK).

cream --home made butter cream. Take one cup of normal yoghurt, put it into a blender or a smoothy maker after blending for 5 minutes you'll see the thick butter floating over, take it out with a spoon and store in any cup or jar and repeat blending and repeat the process again for 4-5 times. you can add some water but nothing else. Now the butter you've is the best of all, pure and no chemical. Use it on your face, lips, hand, feet wherever. it is really natural moisturisure. And let me know how it worked. Nature is mother.

Try 100% Pure Shea Butter.Shea butter comes from Africa and is found along the West African Savannah region. Karite takes about 40 to 50 years to mature. It is an amazing skin-soothing agent for makers of soap, particularly when blended with lather-generating coconut oil. Shea butter helps increase local capillary circulation, which in turn increases tissue re-oxygenation and improves the elimination of metabolic waste products

Lots of sensative/non perfumed moiseriser or face cream. Just keep applying it every 30 mins and brush any dead skin off with a dry flannel/face cloth. Nivea cream is quite good or anything you have. Dont wet your face with water because even though it has good immediate effects, it will actually dry out your skin. Hope this helps. Good Luck

The best thing for patches of dry skin is Superdrug vitamin E oil. You just dab a little bit on and hey presto the dryness goes!
I used to get dry skin around my nose, I put a bit of oil on every night and it's gone. Amazing stuff, trust me!

Vaseline does work but it's not a overnight miracle worker. If you didn't want to try Vaseline again maybe you should look into Eucerin, which is an good moisturizer as well.

This will sound completely crazy but my youngest son gets extremely dried lips. 2 the point that they'll bleed. I will put desitin (yes, the diaper rash medicine) on his lips at night right before he goes to bed and poof! The dryness is gone the next morning. Sounds crazy but try it.

Use 100% shea butter and you'll be okay. You should be able to pick some up at Whole Foods or anywhere that sells natural skin care products.

try none perfume moisturiser. I wouldn't put vaseline on your face honestly - it has petrolium jelly in it and also if you use it often enough you will grow hairs on your chin....HONESTLY. Just go for moisturiser and leave face scrubs alone for a while. Best of luck
