I like your questions!
That he deigns faith in a higher being is a good thing, that he does not believe there is a power above him either sounds hypocritical or narcissistic.
I do not think there is evidence that he is atheist because he does believe in a higher power... himself. Rather, he has a, ahem, God complex.

There may very well be different levels of existence (like that one crazy Simpson's episode where Lisa created a universe), and we are just too small to fathom the higher levels.
With God as the Lord of our universe, it seems that it could be a possibility that their are other universes somewhere out there presided over by their own Lords. But God claims dominion over our universe, not multiple universes.
The question of whether God has a God has never been formally posed. Since the Bible pertains to this world only, there is a gap that could support that hypothesis. There has certainly never been any mention in writing that God does or does not believe that He, too, has a Creator to worship.
So I think it is a false step on your part to assume the thoughts of the divine.

Um, no. But if it makes you feel better and more secure in your lack of belief then you go right ahead and believe whatever your mind makes up.
If God had to believe in a higher being - then God wouldn't be God.
It's a circular question. If God has faith in a higher being then God can't be God. If God doesn't - then God must be an atheist.
What you are leaving out of the equation is that God doesn't have human qualities. God has no reason to have faith in something greater.

Because God is the highest Being that exists. There are none higher.
You are a created being, not the Creator. So an argument that applies to you does not apply to God.

I think you are really grasping for straws here. The only way to find all the answers is to have faith and you find all you would want to know at the end of your mortal life. Nobody but God can give you the answers to what you are seeking and since you don't have any faith he is there for you I guess your questions will always remain unanswerd. I don't know what information you would expect to find from us on here then, other than confirmation in your beliefs, which shows your beliefs are not very strong.

Logically true but very offensive to the religious people. Take cover, Spartan. The arrows are coming straight at you. If people always believe in a higher being, have they reached their limits and settled for their one god? What if they have settled on the wrong one?
I am able to lift my left arm with the shield, comrade - a little bit of "300" humor.

Who says our God doesn't? He's never said as much. If we/mankind think He doesn't or at least didn't have a creator Himself, that's our own finite thinking being imposed on an infinite being. But as you said, you're an atheist, so you don't get it. That's ok for now, maybe you'll get it eventually.

Wow. Interesting question. But, considering I've thought of this myself, I don't think it's worth worrying about. I mean, if you're an atheist - that's great - I'm a Christian. Let's all be happy together.

I would have to say because the quality you are referring to is a human quality. We can only attribute qualities to the divine that we have reason to beleive they have, not know for sure what they have. And who knows, maybe the divine does have a creator he beleives in, it may be something personal the divine choses not to share with us.
