A couple things generally float through my head about those people:
1) Perhaps they are a little bit full of themselves to believe they are so self-sufficient.
2) Do they maintain morals? If so, how do they work that out with no divine guidance?
3) As someone who has a high level of quality education, I wonder how educated some of these people really are. Have they examined the evidence that supposedly tells us the Earth is billions of years old, or that microbes evolved into people unassisted? Because I am an archaeologist, and I have, and it's all a bunch of bullsh*t.
There's so much unproved theory that things like evolution (which seem to be one of the main points atheists make against belief in God) are truly faiths in their own right. You don't personally KNOW what happened, someone handed down a mythology to you, and you had the faith to believe it as fact. How is that any different than studying the Word of the Bible and having the faith to believe that IT is fact?
Anyway, just the things that run through my head when I think about atheists. Especially since so many of them think that atheism is the "natural" choice when you are educated. Let me tell you, if it was the natural choice, you'd see a hell of a lot of hunter-gatherers and "primitive" tribes acting like modern atheists instead of worshipping higher beings. And anyway, education isn't just memorization of facts, it's about learning how to think critically and evaluate information for yourself. So think critically about everything (not just what believers say, not just what atheists say). Take it all into account and then make a decision. Don't automatically discredit people.
P.S. Sorry this turned out so long.

I'm friends with people who don't. I don't judge them for that. I still care alot about them. And I pray for them and you. I understand that some people can't accept things based on faith. God does too. That is why everyone who isn't taken in the Rapture will have a second chance. They will get to see the proof and make an informed decision. Thankfully, I will be gone and I hope alot of non-believers will accept God before that day so that don't have to live through the plauges etc.

That's a pretty broad category..... I know some wonderful and intelligent people on both sides, and some horrible, moronic people on both sides. though I will have to admit the apparently faithful (who kows what anyone really believes), in my experience are far more heavily infiltrated with the horrible/moronic types.

I certainly don't think bad of them. I just think it is a shame, though. It is a shame they won't allow theirself to feel the love of God. Or the blessings.
I also think (and here is where the thumbs down comes in) that some are a little too arrogant to have faith. Sorry.

Nothing. They have a right to have faith if they want to. I myself have faith in a higher being.

I think that they're just taking up space on the planet. Sucking up oxygen temporarily just like us all. However, they're so much more tormented inside. They're not happy people. They're lost! Some of them you can't even save. It's pitiful!

Most are rational, some are merely rebellious, the vast majority are highly intelligent. No, I do not "feel sorry for them" for not believing in a God. If there is a God, he will talk to them if he chooses, or not. That's between them and this theoretical God. Not my business.

I think it's their perogotive to believe or not. That's the great thing about religion, that we all have our free-agency to decide what we want in our life.

I think that they have a very low awareness and consciousness of the nature of reality and the moment, and form opinions that are subject to trendy thought patterns that control the masses.
