The 22nd Wedding Anniversary does not have any traditional materials or Symbols associated with it, but a contemporary or modern 22nd anniversary gift has a theme of Copper.
A nice copper bowl or serving platter would be pretty.

Hey - my mom & dad have their 22nd wedding anniversery this August!!
What to get them... hmm.... that's always hard.... I usually go in with a sibling and give them like $50.00 - tell them to go to a nice resturant and movie or something. This may seem cheesy to you, but for my parents (they have 6 kids ages 20-5 all living in the home still) they love getting out.
Or, you can get them a gift certificate for somewhere they would like. Or, maybe you could get together and make a big funny awesome scrapbook from all the years you've had them as parents, and tell them how much you love 'em..... I think they'd like that too.
I don't know.... I'm stumped when it comes to giving presents and finding the right kind of gifts too!
Good luck & happy anniversary to your folks!

You could buy a beautiful picture frame, put a picture of them both, looking pretty happy together. On the side or background you could write a deep message that will touch their hearts. Something like: "Together since before we promised to be... caring for each other, like we promised we would, raising our kids (or son) as we agreed... but above all, something I promised long ago, I still do... and that is love you forever."
Just use your imagination, but make sure you put yourself in their shoes. What would they love to hear from you?

Rent them a nice romantic weekend vacation somewhere. It doesn't have to be expensive. I think they would enjoy that..
