Someone who starts a race so fast there's no way he or she can continue that pace for the whole race. Usually applies in distance races.

Usually you would say someone has gone off at a "suicidal pace" when they've started a race far too quickly & will undoubtedly suffer in the latter stages.

A pace that's incredibly fast and looks like the person will not be able to maintain throughout the entire race/practice (literally gonna kill them, make them die).

Rob W: I guess you can't read he said PACE not PASS

If you have to ask then you have never received one. The player receiving the pass has to look behind them to catch a pass. This puts them into a position of not being able to see who is coming at them.
