This is a very hard thing to overcome, but with God's Help, and Jesus, you can overcome anything...first off, were you ever made fun of for being chubby? Were you ever made fun of period? by family or friends?....second, you have to remember that your body is your temple, and you must take care of it like you would any other material possession..so ask yourself, it is good or natural to stuff your tummy till you can't eat any more, and make your self sick, and then vomit or use the toilet to push all your nourishment right back out? What are you doing to your insides right now, and how does it really make you feel when you stuff like that, and then to maybe please everyone else, throw it right back up, so you can look thin? You need to pray to God, through Jesus, for strength to stop this habit, and accept yourself for who you are...and then others will have to love you also, because you cannot kill yourself to make others happy...I was anorexic for eight months, and with the grace of God, I was fortunate enough to realize how horrible I looked, and stopped it..I am now over weight, and the only one it really bothers is me...but I have made up my mind, that I am not going to lose weight for anyone but me, and for God, and for Jesus...Good luck, and my prayers are with you to win the fight! I know you will!

I suggest working with a multi-disciplinary treatment team....a physician, dietitian, therpaist and then possibly a psychiatrist. It has shown to be very effective. I currently see all four and I am doing better than I ever have.

You need to find really good social support too...family, friends, co-workers, etc.

You have a tough road ahead of you, but you can do it. Just know there are ups and downs and don't beat yourself up if you slip every once in a while.

Take care of yourself!

Good for you! Don't look at TV advertisements or magazines full of skinny women! Get outside and exercise - enjoy God's great out of doors. Counseling and medication is usually required for a while. Pray much!
