What is the origin that the name Terah comes from? What country / religion etc.?

It is a Kurdish name( north of Iraq), which means the veil for the bride. Pretty cool name.

Terah is very similar to terra or earth.....most likely it has Latin origins (from what all languages come). Or you can go to a website that actually tells you where that name originated similar names and meanings. It's actually quite easy type in namemeaning.com and I'm sure you'll find what your looking for.

In the papiamento language, tera (with a small t) means earth (the stuff you plant trees in) and Tera (with a capital T) means planet earth. You would pronounce it just like Terah. Papiamento is spoken on Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire.
