Top 12 Ways to get rid of loose teeth (some may be painful as said in your question but not too badly.):
1.Tie your tooth to a string and tie the string to the doorknob. Then shut the door. It will come out painlessly (i think) but don't do it if you're scared as you said!
2.Get a dry cloth or maybe use your shirt and grip the tooth. Pull until out.
3.Whatever direction the tooth is NOT loose in, push toward that direction. Keep pushing and it will pop out. (i lost a tooth yesterday that way!) it really hurts but for only 5 seconds then it comes out!
4.Just gently pull it. This may take awhile.
5.Have a famliy member or someone you trust pull it out using step 2, 3, or 4.
6.Just go to the dentist and have it pulled.
7.Eat an apple or some corn. It will come out without even being felt, but there will be blood everywhere!
8.Twist it around and pull it out.
9.Just wait for it to come out, maybe in your sleep or when you least expect it
10.Play with it! Use your tongue! Use your fingers! Push it around with your other teeth!
11.Just pull it out! Don't be scared!
12.Have someone punch it out (lol jk)

If it's a permanent tooth--you should do everything to keep it. However, if you're still intent on taking it out I'd suggest a little kit at Walgreen's with a red cross on it. It comes with pain killer/antiseptic, tweezers, and cotton swabs. If you're not able to find it, ask the pharmacist. When you're ready to use it, take the tweezers and dab a piece of cotton in the liquid pain killer/antiseptic, put it on the tooth's gums where it may hurt if you're going to pull it out. Do this until the area is numb and move the tooth around until it comes out. Hope this helps!

A loose tooth needs to be looked at by a dentist or hygienist.
Depends on your age too..if it is a permanent tooth. Then the Dentist will give you advice. Please no pulling your self because you will still require some Dental care.

Eat an apple , when you bite into it it will take that tooth right out for you, all my children thought I was the greatest when I got them to do it because it doesn't hurt that way either. Just be careful and don't swallow the tooth.

Just let it fall out on by itself or have a dentist pull it out.
