We all have our moments!
I recommend that you take an hour or a day, and focus on not being rude yourself.
That will make the world less rude by one person.

I think Shrek is right to a degree...Anonymity is one of the reasons why. We've lost our ability to co exist. Basic human decency.

Oh we saw some of it return during 9/11. Then weeks later, we heard about people looting the stores that the destruction completely or partially destroyed.

I think we want to trust others. We don't want to become as jaded has we've become, but when you've been lied to, cheated, stolen from and betrayed by so many people, you tend to harden. I think most of the time, being rude is a form of self defense. You don't get close---you don't get hurt.

Does that make it right? No, but it might provide an answer. I hear this a lot lately and I thnk it's quite apt.

If you dislike the fact that so many people are rude to you, let the change begin with you. Try to be nice to others..complete strangers. It will have the same effects as if someone is ride to you, that's a real pi*sser right? It's upsetting when someone is rude to you. So, the same effect could result if you're nice to someone.

Perpetuate the change you want to see in the world.

Rudeness is not a habit. Prejudices, dislikes, vanity, superstitions, perversions, dominant Id etc are but not rudeness. Rudeness is a behaviour that is because one of these flares up.
If what I said is unclear let us try again. People behave rude at times because their insecurities are brought to the fore by a trigger that could be intrinsic or extrinsic. If all of us knew our own insecurities and respected each others' beliefs may be there wouldn't be so much rudeness in the world.

Life would be a bit boring if everybody was the same. How else would you be able to ask this question. Some people are rude because maybe they are having a bad day, a bad headache, feel down and out, had a couple of drinks, have no money to spend and feel like the rest of the world owe's them feeling jealous because you are a nice person, people all have there little weaknesses , just look past it and forget about it. :))))))

some people just dont realise they are being rude, like when they push past you in the supermarket to get to the smaller queue -obviously they are SO much more important than you and therefor you MUST get out of their way!! i make a point (an am prob being rude meself when i do this) of saying 'How Rude' at the top of my voice when someone does something blatantly rude! It's quite fun!!

Because there are so many people on this earth, and the 'rude' people are the ones who want to take over. HELP! We're gonna live in a mad town!"
No, actually, bcause they don't have anything to do with their life, and they are too lazy to turn it around.

For the most part I think people are just frustrated. On the other hand you may interpret people as being rude when they aren't being rude.
For example, shy people are sometimes accused of being rude.

Are you asking me or telling me?!

People have become more insular and less comnunity spirited as society has evolved. We care for us and our loved ones and have been brought up to try and get one over on the rest of society.....

These attitudes bring on rudeness and non appreciation of anyone or anything else.......I guess we just have to all rise above it and set an example but it is hard with some of the odd balls and weirdos that we unfortunately have no choice but to share our lives with....
