Nikki,
Trust me nothing will make you feel better then once you have proved your "Dad" (if you can call a person that does not consider your feelings) to be a fool. You are on the right path do not faulter keep on pushing and trust me the weight will come off remember you did not gain the weight over night and you will not loose the weight over night.
"Inside every different duck there is a beautiful swan"
become your Swan and prove your Dad wrong and remember to surround yourself with positive people nothing good comes from negative people.

Well you are probably overweight because your father is abusive towards you. The first thing you need to do is cut your calories.
Get a journal and write down EVERYTHING you consume. Whether it be a grape or donut.
Keep your calories under 1500.
Drink a lot of water. Take a bottle with you to school fill it up through out the day. Try to finish a bottle during each class.
Walk home from school. If it's 2 miles theres some great excersise for you it will cause you to burn 200 calories.
Make sure you eat plenty of fruit and veggies. Take a sandwich with you for lunch. Dont use mayonaise mustard is your best bet.
I don't make fun of fat people unless they were something they shouldn't be wearing...but that goes with thin people as well.
I was as size 20 and that was tight.
Now I am a 12.
Eat right and excersise...that will be your foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
If I were you I would also look for a part time job after school. So you can stay away from your father. And as soon as you turn 18 get the hell out of there. Good luck.

Hey, I'm really sorry about that. You know, I've been overweight for years myself and, when I was younger, I was teased all the time. I was a size 16 when I was your age too. Unfortunately, I didn't go down, but up. I made up my mind though and, like you, I changed my diet.
Listen, it's crushing that your dad is doing that to you, but be strong. You know how you can prove him wrong? Try your damnedest to ignore him and keep doing what you're doing. Cut your carbs, keep sugars out of your diet by at least 80%. Exercise as much as you can and drink a lot of water. Be strong, my friend. Congratulations on the 10 lb loss. Keep up the good work and good luck!

you know what he shouldn't have the right to call you fat and stuff he's your dad tell him that he's the one who should stick with you and help you not the one who tells you you're fat! He's atitude is really childish and I'm sure you are more mature then that so you can ignore him. I f you're trying to lose weight it's great, I also made a plan myself to lose weight once and lose ten pounds but the plan didn't work after cause my body is used to it. What works is to count the calories that you eat and restrict the number you should eat minimum 1200 calories to keep your metabolism up and you need to burn more then what you eat to lose weight. By eatint like 1200 calories a day you'd lose weight but you need to exercise so running is the best exercise because it builds muscle and burn fat (not at the same time of course it build muscle first and then it makes you lose fat) anyways good luck and the best advice I can give you is of course accept yourself as you are but you still need to lose weight, and honestly your personality is not in your weight so you can lose weight and not feel cnfident, and I'm sure losing weight will make you a bit more confident and in control of your life and too all the haters fuckoff we don't all have a good metabolism or were born under a good star!

So you're a bit overweight. Keep on your diet and prove him wrong. Do me a favor, though: consult a doctor and a dietician to make sure you aren't just starving yourself. You still need nutrients and vitamins while dieting.
People make fun of all kinds of different characteristics, from the physical ones like being too heavy or too tall, to the non-physical ones, like being a nerd for being smart, or a spazz because of a lack of coordination. Not a whole lot can be done about that. I feel bad that it is your father doing this. It sounds like he's trying to shame you into losing weight, which isn't fair to you.
As I said, prove him to look silly. Keep at it, take long walks every day (good way to exercise as it is low impact, AND it relieves stress), and don't let him get you down. Have faith in yourself.

If you have lost weight already then what you are doing is working so keep going. But your dad should not be making fun of you like this. Does he know that it hurts you? Maybe he just thinks its a joke - you could tell him how you feel - that it does hurt. If this doesnt work then focus on the people who do love and support you and stay positive about yourself. You are a good person no matter what you weigh and you are being healthy and looking after yourself and a lot of people appreciate you

If you're really tired and overweight and can't lose weight. Have your thyroid function checked by a doctor. A simple bloodwork will do. Because there are people who suffer weight gain and tiredness no matter what they do. The thyroid is a gland located on the anterior (front) portion of the neck attached to the upper part of the trachea (windpipe). The thyroid is a bi-lobed gland. This gland is small in size, about 4 centimeters long and 1-2 centimeters wide. If you're one of the hypothyroid people, then weight gain and tiredness is part of the symptom. Have it checked.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! You got to get out of there, seriously. But you are going to have to work, at school and in employment. But you are lucky you are female. I can tell by your writing dont be shocked its easy to the intelligent. My step dad abused me verbally, I was always no good for nothing and useless but he also would use the buckle end of his belt across my face , whip me with the belt until I bled, hold me off the ground by my throat, nothing was out of bounds, but I was never sexually abused. When I was 7 he drove me to the point where I was planning his murder. I knew I could stab him with a carving knife through the throat while he slept, and being 7 I knew I would get away with it. I mean what would anyone do to a 7 year old for murdering someone, what have you done to a 7 year old to make them think that? I regret not doing it. I wouldnt get away with it now. So my point is , it doesnt matter who it is , if you dont like them get away from them, otherwise what else are you going to do. Come on you're a grown up nearly take the initiative make your life dont live the life someone else forces on you, and have someone elses perception of you govern your self image. It doesnt matter about your weight , thats irrelevent. You have every reason to be proud if you stand up rid yourself of this monster and make a life for yourself. 3 things, dont be fooled, dont be insulted, and dont believe that at a certain age things become definate, nothing is ever definate.

I really feel for you, your dad is terrible, you are his daughter- if the things are said during fights then I can see (though not understand or forgive) him saying things he should never say as its the heat of the moment and he is obviously talking from his pants.
I think your dad has to grow up. simple as.
the only thing you can do - to maintain your level of mnaturity, is to carry on doing your thing- either it being loosing your weight to become healthy or maintain your weight if your happy with it, rise above your father, unfortunatly some people lack the ability to say nice things, to have empathy and understand how hard it is for you in your battle, or to not be immature-
(picking a subject such as how you look is a sad choice for arguement topics and he is probably using it as he feels he is wrong, is loosing the arguement and needs a tool to get at you, he lacks the verbal and brain skills to think that the arguement is over and he has lost.)
Leave your dad in his little world of contempt, you can be sure he is more miserable than you if this is what he accepts as normal- how normal is it to put down your daughter like this? what kind of a world does he live in? and what must he think people think about him?!
