i have ticket for passing in red light. do i get any points in my licenses. this is the first time i got a ticket if i do get a point is there anyway i can remove it. pls advise

The link below explains the DMV point system. Just choose your state. However, you should check with the court and DMV in order to find out if any fines can be reduced and/or ways to get the points removed.

Some states will allow you to drop down the points or change the ticket to an administrative ticket (especially since this is your first) but you will have to go to court and speak with the prosecutor and still pay all the fines as well as the court costs. If you don't want your insurance to increase, this is definately the way to go.

Get a traffic attorney. They might be able to get the ticket reduced to a no-points violation.

yes points..call the DMV for info on points reduction class. worst part of ticket is insurance rates go up for years!
