You should download and install the Combined Community Codec Pack. It is a newer, more reliable set of codecs than the k-lite stuff. It also includes to free video players with it, media player classic and zoom player. You just install the pack and it installs the codecs and the media players. It is by far the BEST set of software for playing compressed video that I have found.
