Problems using InDesign?

I am trying to edit a brochure for work and I have somehow set the settings so that anytime I type or change font, the text background is light pink. I can't find where to change that back to white or none. Any help would be appreciated.

The pink behind the text is that of a font issue. You either do not have that font installed, or not activated in your font manager. Try reinstalling that font or fonts if you can. Also make sure your font manager is on, that can also cause for multiple fonts showing up but still displaying the pink. Hope this helps.
