when me and my mate had it on holiday in corfu it was so bad we wished we WERE dead. It was horrible, we could barely crawl to the bathroom to be sick, and once we had been we just lay on the bathroom floor in agony

I sympathise completely with you - its absolutely horrible! remember to drink plenty of water (sipped) to rehydrate yourself and hope you're feeling better soon

YEs - it was a chicken cassorole :( We ate at about 7pm - by 11am next day we both had crippling tummy aches - chronic trots - sickness - headaches - the lot. I have never in my life felt soooooooooooooo bad - we lived in a three story house too so we were too sick to crawl down to the ground floor where the telephone was so we stayed in the bedroom for 2 days!!! Thankgod we had an ensuite bathroom...needless to say we always have phones in the bedrooms now....never ever eat reheated chicken!! REAL food poisoning comes on at the 12hr point normally - after that your just dying for a few days - blaghhhhh !:(

About 15 years ago my ex-husband took me out for a fish and chip supper, I however was vegetarian at the time and found myself having to order the veggie burger as it was the only non-meat thing they had. Within 20 minutes of eating we had to rush home as I felt really sick and my head was spinning, within another hour of being at home I had vomited more times than I could cope with, the Dr was called and he said I had salmonella poisoning that had most likely originated from the old frying oil used in the fish and chip shop. I had to have anti-emetic injections as the sickness was so bad, so yes I sympathise with you....food poisoning is horrible.

Are you alive again now?!!

No I do sympathise greatly as once when in Malaysia I was so ill - coming out top and bottom for days. I couldn't walk just shake. I didn't think there was a postive outcome but I survived to tell the tale.
Not many people get serious death-like poisoning so that's why they're sarcastic - just they wait for their turn. Ha.Ha.

Yes and I did wish I could die. I just layed there on the bathroom floor wishing for death, lol. The ones that don't understand probably haven't had food poisoning! Once you have it and you are down for the count, you won't forget it.

food poisoning is no joke, you probably were close to death. what kind of people do you hang out with, that didn't understand how serious this is? it doesn't happen to all, i ate the same thing (pizza) as my husband and i thought for sure he was a goner, he was hospitalized for a week, i was fine. it is how your system is at the time, is what my doctor explained. hope your on the mend and eat light for a week or so....

Yeh ive had it like that....i got it from a pineapple fritter (lol) from the chippy, was 'orrible, never been so violently sick in my life, i cant say i thought i was going to die, but i can understand why you thought that, food poisoning is nasty, and can kill.....

Edit: i SAY i got it from that, it did taste weird as but it probably wasnt that to be honest, but whatever caused it put me off pineapple fritters for life!
