I concluded that most religious personalities, priests, ministers and even the Pope believe that organize religion is at best an essential, practical and political necessity.

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

Well, I surely believe in God and that he exists. Religions are much more though then you state they are. Religions offer brotherhood and family. They offer charity and goodwill.
They offer life long friendships bound together by same thinking. If one needs absolute proof of that, then look at the Amish, Mormons, and many other Christian sects. Same with the Jews.

Religions give a persons life a "center-point", a place to have their values accepted as normal and most important a place to go when times are hard or troubling.

I would suppose that one could call them "personalities" as you do, but I think there is much more to priests, ministers, and the Pope then being a personality. Most have a life long commitment to their faith, give up almost all weekend family activity or in the case of priests, give up weekend fun to direct their churches. And most give up their entire lives to serve other peoples needs.

The freaks will deny it but there are plenty of the clergy who are atheists but realise that the opiate is considered essential to the well-being of the weak. The world would collapse for them if the truth penetrated into the religious folks brains.
Isn't the USA a freak in itself? All other civilised first-world countries are embracing atheism and the US is going the other way. History explains it but it is an anomaly.
How many politicians seeking votes would make an atheist stand? The same number that would admit to being racist. Speaks for itself that there will be a whole bunch of fakers in the political ranks. Votes are more important than honesty.

I'm a pessimist by nature.

I know they believe that crap, much as I wish they didn't.
I know they are all brainless zombies, much as I wish they had some semblence of reason between them.

Only a few ... very few ... have reason to pretend a thing like that: To control others.

It frustrates me sometimes.
It frustrates me that were I to take my sword (yes, I have one that can hold an edge)... go outside and start carving up the christians and muslims wherever I met them, walking free as they are..... that -I- would be the one locked up and punished for doing the world a favour.
It frustrates me that I can do nothing to make the world a better place because humanity is still riddled with such rampant idiocy.

And for that I have no sympathy for it.
Humanity is its own worst enemy.... At least I seek to bring it down out of honest hatred rather than accidental stupidity.

Oh how I wish they were just pretending.

That might rely on god. If god calls for notion and threatens to place you in a lake of burning hearth for all eternity if you do not suppose, then I might believe it issues. However if god does no longer exist, then threats of burning for eternity are simply threats via idiots. True notion does not verify fact, however is not reality predominant? Doesn't reality subject? Wouldn't all of us love to relatively understand? I believe such a lot folks do.

Oh, I think a lot are just pretending. The ones that really do seem to believe are simply mistaken - they are looking inside themselves and seeing a reflection of themself. This is undoubtedly a spiritual experience but as with all spiritual experiences, not anything that needs to be translated into a belief in a deity.

I believe in God. It's very easy for me - because I simply believe that God is the Power of LOVE. (You probably believe in it too).

As for organized religion. Well - religion is nothing more than somebody's tool to get closer to God. There are lots of different "tools" to accomplish this - and different people pick different ones. Nothing wrong with that. And sometimes - a lot of people pick the same tool - and they want to share about their experiences and learn about how they can do better - and therefor - organized religion came to be.

If groups of people are going to come together to learn and do good stuff - it needs to be organized. Or do you think it would be better if it was disorganized??????

No one really believes in a deity. It's just a comfortable lie they tell themselves because they're terrified of the truth. They need to believe that the universe is fair and just, that all bad is punished and all good is rewarded, and that they will never actually die. They can't accept the fact that the universe is unfair and unjust, that crime is often rewarded and charity is often punished, and that death is their utter annihilation.

Almost makes me wish I could lie to myself like they do, when you think about it.

I firmly believe God exists. I believe with all my heart and soul. I also know that the priests, nuns, ministers, pope and others believe as well. I have yet to meet a priest, bishop, nun or monsigner who didn't believe whole-heartedly in the existance of God.

Look at the proof for a God. The proof of his existence is all around .In the earth, which is the right size, the perfect distance from the sun, has the perfect tilt, mixture of gases to support life, and a life cycle. We see design in ourselves as humans. We have brains and a nerve center that store knowledge and memories plus it tell us when we are in pain. We have ears that we can hear just the right amount not to little so we could hear others talk and not too much we can hear air molecules passing through our ears. We have eyes to see plant and animals and all creation. We have a heart to pump blood throughout are body. We have lungs to breathe in air.
Every part of our body has a purpose and was designed perfectly.
Theirs basic proof for God!
