I have a laptop thats rented to me from the school, and it came with Windows Media Player on it. Only now it won't let me open WMP and its driving me crazy!!! I need to know what I should do.

Hi,

Here's a work-around that you can try, that's if you desperately need to play a song or a movie now (while waiting for a successful download of WMP)...

Launch the 'backup' wmp by:

1) clicking "Start", then click "Run..."
2) typing in the dialog box "\WINDOWS\system32"
3) double-clicking on "mplay32.exe"
4) open the media file you wish to play by pressing "Ctrl+O"

ok what you could do is uncheck the wmp from the control panel,
