Do you call an auto repair shop when your car breaks down? Do you call a plumber when your pipes are leaking? Do you go to the doctor when you are physically ill? All of these situations are virtually identical to the one you are now facing. The only difference is the "repair" needs to be to your psyche. Anxiety, stress, emotions all can need therapy at times. If you participate actively and are enthusiastic about the possibilities, you will be wonderfully relieved at the outcome. Good luck!

I believe if all of these people think you should see a counselor, they pretty much see some fairly disturbing symptoms that you are exhibiting. just remember, they are telling you to see a counselor for your own good. Everyone has had experiences of high anxiety; but, not necessarily to the point of requiring Professional help.
Are all of these people suggesting a school counselor who is a male?
If you do not feel comfortable with this person, seek out someone else. The earlier that you can get in touch with your behaviors the more you can resolve them. You may need to see both a therapist and a psychiatrist. If you need medication only a Medical Doctor (GP, Psychiatrist etc) can prescribe the necessary medications.
You should feel blessed that so many people are concerned about you and have your best interests at heart.
So many people attach a negative connotation to therapy and counselors. You have to be the one who comes to terms that you have a problem, if you don't then you will balk any sort of counseling/therapy that comes your way.
Good Luck

You are experiencing what I call "Your brain getting there before your body does."
You are wrapping yourself up in anticipation and expectation before anything even happens. Therefore creating your own scenerio ahead of time.
Why would you do that, why would anyone in their right mind do that? If you really want to know... I'll tell you!
It's because you are a control freak... Plain and simple!
I know this because I can see that you have drive and determination beyond what your body can sometimes manage for you.
I suggest you try Prana Yoga... Breath is the essence of life.
You need to sit back and rationalize, rather than act like some off the wall psychic who sits in anticipation of everything before it has even happened.
You don't know that it will be a bad experience. It may just make you take stock and slow down... I am certain however that the fact that it is not your idea and not under your control that is really causing the anxiety...
Treat life as an experiment and stop always trying to chart and vector everything... People don't come with radar. Sometimes, the beauty is in relenting, releasing and allowing the people that love you to do just that...
Sometimes we forget how to be kind to ourselves... I think people are just trying to help you remember that. There is a lot of power in just taking a deep breath and allowing it to happen...
Ultimately... Everything you feel is always under your control. You however have that backward and assume that ultimatiums are something you should fight against.
Just relax and breathe... Honestly... it sounds to me that a councellor may be just what you need. an objective third party insight into your psyche.
Even though eventually... He will tell you exactly what I just have.
I Bet ya!

You began by sharing here. doing a Face to face with a counselor about things can put legs on getting out of the funk and anxiety.
When I was getting close to graduation from grad school dealing with stress was critical to keeping my head above water.
I would take a 1/2-1 hour out of a week and stop in an see a counselor. I went to 3-5 AA meetings a week.
And low and behold, nothing major collapsed because I took time away to do those things.
Time is something we manage well or it seems we have none.
Go see him. If your alternative is loosing funding for school guess others will be making the decision for you eh?

Oh boy. First take a big deep breath hold it in for 10 seconds and then exhale (loudly if you can). Concentrate on your blinking for 15 blinks.
Okay, you should be a skoosh clearer. Now focus on my words. You are ready to see a counselor. You are reaching out and that is step one. A counsel er is there to help you down the path to self awareness, not to judge you. They are there to keep you on the right track and stay focused on the good not the bad.
May I suggest something? Look into "fight or flight". Many people with anxiety have an overdeveloped sense of "FOF" and it can cause them to wig out unnecessarily. When one becomes unaccountability overwhelmed (which leads to panic) they should do a quick intense workout, such as 20 push ups or a brisk walk.
I have dealt with panic and anxiety most of my life and have been in therapy for YEARS. It is worth it.
Do the right thing and take care of yourself.

You're talking to strangers and asking for help now. The counselor shouldn't be any different.
It also sounds like you're confusing acceptance with approval. Accepting something doesn't mean you have to like it. You have to accept the weather for what it is on any given day, because you are totally powerless to change it. That doesn't mean you like the fact that it may be raining or snowing. Accept that you need help, and work hard to get better. Counseling doesn't have to be forever. I accept that I'm bi-polar. I'd rather be "normal", but I'm not. So I take my medications and follow my psychiatrist's advice and live the best life I can. I resisted seeing a counselor or psychiatrist for 8 years, and had constant problems. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll get better.

I would tell them you agree to go and talk to someone but you are going to continue going to school. Who knows if you are that easily stressed where it is affecting everyone around you. You might find relief in talking to a counselor. You would be amazed at how much they can help you! I have the same thing as you except it was not school it was working having a husband and 3 kids. I got help and now I can mange best feeling I have ever had!!!

in my opinion i think of you would be greater useful asserting "for the entire workplace" as giving very own presents may be taken the incorrect way maximum counsellors and different experts i've got considered and labored with does not be allowed to settle for presents besides, because it would be considered as crossing obstacles it truly is ultimate to not positioned the two of you in an ungainly place - even although you look under no illusions with regard to the fast term nature of the relationship, that's stable. shop it elementary it many times is the main secure determination. The enterprise I artwork for has it written into the regulations, regulations and regulations that we artwork to, that we could constantly not settle for presents. We then can't be considered as being biased in direction of anybody. and people who can not arise with the money for to purchase such issues are not made to experience inferior. This additionally utilized when I labored in close by government in an workplace. returned, workers are actually not allowed to settle for and present or incentive which would be considered by means of any skill to impression the way they manage anybody.
