Take Note: It does not mean that if it is not in the Bible, it is not the Word of God.

But this verse is not the Word of God because it came from a Hindu s.cripture

"Those who are devotees of other gods and who worship them with
faith actually worship only Me, O son of Kunti, but they do so
in a wrong way." (Gita 9.32)

Even a Vedic verse illustrates this theme of tolerance. The Vedas are revered in Hinduism, regardless of denomination. For example, a well-known Rig Vedic hymn stemming from Hinduism states that "Truth is One, though the sages know it variously." This is in contrast with some other religious traditions, where one must believe in only one form of God and to totally reject or disdain other beliefs.

This is from a Hindu scriputure and non-biblical scripture.

While I agree this is not in the Bible, I consider the statement to be accurate. I trust the wisdom shown to me by the Holy Spirit which provides the highest form of understanding on these matters. The one Eternal God preexisted all that exists. When the universe was formed then "duality" and "maya" came into existence. The Eternal One was divided into two. So in the material world everything has an opposite. Light is countered by the darkness, love is countered by hate and on.... Our human existence is filled with the contradictions that form the basis for misunderstandings but are also the basis for "free choice" which is an essential element of God's plan. It is no surprise therefore that the many religions were formed and the followers of each of these religions ardently claim to worship the only true God. Well they are correct. There is only one Eternal God that exists in eternal and uncontradicted oneness. Our religions call the same universal concepts by different names. The path of all seekers of truth from all religions converge on the same point and achieve oneness with the same Eternal God.

I believe he would be referring to those people that worshiped
the Sun, for example. The moon. The stars. Something that I have always said is a natural and logicial thing to do anyway.

And, by wrong way, I believe he meant that they did not accept God as the all powerful, all knowing, Almighty, and all seeing God. That they only saw these godlike things as a guide and nothing more.

since it,s origin seem to be a well guarded secret, the only reasonable answer would be , It means whatever the person who wrote it meant it to say.which i suppose is::::
A. the basis of all belief is the same god.
B.that different men have developed different names and methods of worship for that god.
C. if it,s true then all arguing is just over semantics.

this not a new theory nor is it very well put together.but is pulled out quite often by the "Why cant we all just get along "group

I can't believe that GOD said this. That is why people need an authority to interpret and explain the bible. The only true
authority that interprets & explains ? the bible teaches & means is the church that Jesus Christ founded-The Catholic Church. God Bless You

People who believe in one god naturally want their god to be the one above all and their way of faith to be the only faith.

If you did not quote it out of the book, they will not understand what you said.

Evidently one of your false gods must have said this, Because My God says thou shall not have any others gods before him.

Far as I can tell, your question has only asked about something you believe to be the words of God.

That's nowhere in the Bible.

And what makes you think God ever said that?
