there are no tequila factories in Mexico, there are tequila houses... Puerto Vallarta is a beach destination, Tequila comes from a place called Tequila and the surrounding areas... It is located in the same state where Puerto Vallarta is, Jalisco. They shouldn't be too far, probably 2-3 hours drive from there.

there are none. and DON'T believe a local ATV place that tells you they will take you to one. it's a tasting room.

you can however go to Tequila, Jalisco, which is reasonably close. the Jose Cuervo factory is there. it's very pretty and very interesting. the bar is super quaint and i had the BEST margaritas i've ever had there. you get to see the whole process and taste every step of the way. they have spanish and english tours and they are quite fun. i enjoyed myself. and don't take that tequila train either. they make up half the history they tell you on it.

No factories but probably tasting rooms. Go to Tequila Jalisco to visit the agave growing grounds and factories.

Probably none since most of the agave is grown in the highlands
