I suffer migraines and if I do sport without eating anything or drinking enough it brings on migraine, very similar to yours starting with the flashing lights and ending with a massive migraine, except mine last for a couple of days.
As long as I have an energy drink or eat a couple of hours beforehand and drink plenty of water during the exercise im fine. Give it a go and if this does not help, see a doctor.
It is just one of many triggers for migraines, not a brain tumour.

Dehydration plays a big part in headaches and migraines. Drink plenty of water and this should stop the pain you are receiveing.
