I'm a daguerreotypist too and I'd love to get in contact.

Glad to hear that you are keeping the tradition of Dagguereotypes alive. I have also tried other alternative processes, namely glass collodions, without much success I might add (getting high from working with ether in small rooms, getting my hands stuck together because collodion is more or less like super glue)
Anyhow, I am personally am using, or shall I say was using, the Bequerrel process of making dags. As you may know it is a process which is far less toxic than the traditional process of having to use mercury.
Unfortunately as I am now living in Japan, I don't have a studio, and am working on getting my darkroom equiptment brought over here. Anyhow if you need any help or suggestions or would just like to chat let me know.
