Belief in God is not only an act of faith, but a logical conclusion of reason.
Science and math--properly understood--illuminate and give proof of God. Take the single cell of a blade of grass and go over its parts: a cell wall, a nucleus, dna, mitochondria. And every cell is strinkingly similar, there isn't one random characteristic about it. Cells are pretty much the same regardless of the form, be it plant or animal, although there are a few differences. How about the sun? It rises every day follows the same east-to-west pattern and sets every day. It is so ordered and organized that we measure our very time by it. The seasons? Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter--in the same order every year. If there was no God, I would expect that the random nature of chaos would be. But we look at nature and we don't find chaos anywhere--everything is incredibly ordered. 1+1 will always and forever equal 2. Patterns, equations and solutions are perfect in their organization and are constant--they never change, they are always the same. Order and organization is not the hallmark of accident or random anything. Consider those points.
God did not create evil. Before any humans were created, He created His holy angels who also possess complete free will. One of those angels, Lucifer, chose to turn away from God, wanting instead to be worshipped himself. So perhaps a refined question might be "why does God allow evil?" Because goodness, beauty and truth must be a choice. The most beautiful thing about the human race is our ability to reason with our intellect and experience emotion; that and our soul is what distinguishes us within the animal kingdom. God didn't create robots with no choices, no free will, who would worship Him outside of any free will; where would be the joy and the gift in that? It wouldn't mean anything, and by definition would not be love. Love is not a feeling, it is a decision. We were all created with a free will to either love or to hate, to serve Him or serve our own will. There are permanent consequences to either choice, but the choice is entirely yours.
No it doesn't make sense that God is a female, and remember that females carry the life that was created together with a man and allowed by God. We women don't create life; last time I checked we weren't an asexual species. The human race needs the pefection of complementarity.
I challenge you to regard a blade of grass, the petal of a flower, a sunset, the smile of a child. None of these are accidents.
Just a note--when we see chaos in the world, be assured that it's not God behind it, but evidence of the fact that we have free will, and all too often we choose to serve ourselves instead of Him who made us. Chaos is what happens when we worship our own selves, and not God.
Blessings,
Jennifer

How can there not be a designer. The proof of his existence is all around us. In the earth, which is the right size, the perfect distance from the sun, has the perfect tilt, mixture of gases to support life, and a life cycle. We see design in ourselves as humans. We have brains and a nerve center that store knowledge and memories plus it tell us when we are in pain. We have ears that we can hear just the right amount not to little so we could hear others talk and not too much we can hear air molecules passing through our ears. We have eyes to see plant and animals and all creation. We have a heart to pump blood throughout are body. We have lungs to breathe in air. Every part of our body has a purpose and was designed perfectly.
The Bible was inspired by God.
Bible is 66 books written by 40 inspired different authors over thousands of years.
1000's of Men and women died for this book so we could have it.
There is 1000s of prophesies throughout the Bible
In Isaiah, Daniel, Revelation and more.
Thousands are fufilled in this amazing blessing. The Bible is the most historical book from that time in print.
It also has 1000s of copies maybe even millions
God created evil because it is all apart of his holy and perfect plan.Just as God knew Eve would sin in the beggining he knows what we have though do will think and will do.

How did we get the Bible God told the people that He chose what to say and write. It's in the Bible,2 Peter 1:21 "for prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." Sooner or later every man, woman and child will acknowledge that Jesus is Lord, but on Judgment day it will be too late for non-believer

This is a seesaw battle that I have no intentions of winning. I would just like to help you because the subject fascinates you and it is obvious because of your query. Science is beneficial to mankind, but if we leave absolute truth up to scientiist then basically we have made the scientist Gods, but we know they are just men. You are looking in he wrong place for answers, search within yourself. I do not believe God wants worship, he wants you to include him in your life and he wants you to be happy. God wants you to have a good life so when you leave Earth you will be satified, so that one day maybe you will change your mind and be like he was not so bad afterall. Look, there are no guarantees in life, you can die tommorrow, the point is that time is short and you have one opportunity to makes yourself happy. This is not an attack on your beliefs, but they are not true. I have not always believed but I luckily had the truth revealed to me, I hope one day the same happens to you.

People believe in God because they have a need to explain their existence. Today the belief is more based on indoctrination than anything else. It is man's quest to better himself through learning so tends to revere that which he sees as greater. The need for man to be more than he is can also be used to enslave him.
Destroying true learning and impeding knowledge is the greatest evil in the world because it robs man us his ability to live a life of freedom that ultimately leads to happiness.
Look up the word "evil" and apply that definition to all parts of the bible then you would begin see just how detrimental the so called word of God is man. To live strictly by the words in the bible would plunge us into darkness in these modern times.
Man is on the verge of discovering his true nature. The ideas of Gods are obstacles in the way of finding these new principals. Man's greatest gains will come through freeing the mind, body, and soul to see life as it really is.
We are moving in to a time where the vary core of our beliefs systems are being challenged. We know we are not the only life in the universe and man's evolution was changed through outside influences by other being like ourselves but more technologically advanced. These are facts and the God believers are trying to hold on to their delusions as long as they possibly can but they won't be able to in the end.
I have great compassion for those that are stuck in faith driven ideologies. It will be a hard transition for this type of person to accept this new world we are being ushered into. My compassion ends when it comes to them destroying man evolution and human life trying to hold on to old ways of thinking.
The data of absolute truth is closing in on the religious and they know it. That is why this world is becoming a more dangerous place because the fanatics are trying to hold on to their control of the masses.

Why do people believe in God. There's many reasons.I can't prove he exists because I haven't seen him. But I can't see the wind either but I know it exists because I can feel the wind when it blows. God has been in my life, I can feel his presence in me. It's nothing you can explain or prove. But then again this is a generation that you have to prove everything. Live dangerously and trust in the unseen.

If your premise is correct please explain why the ten commandments have never been outdone in wisdom or completeness. A perfect set of laws in the most reduced form. Way ahead of its time, and yet timeless. Also explain how 500 people witnessed the resurrection of Christ?
Why do even historians admit Jesus Christ lived, and his life is accurately told in the Bible?

Maybe a better question is why is it that people come to this site to ask their own loaded questions about their own faith or absence of faith? What is it that is missing from your life?
