As stated here the Bible, as we know it, has 40 different original authors. Some books from other authors were purged. The book was edited and re-written numerous times from a variety of editions. Most of this re-writng was under the supervision of religious people, but it may have also reflected bias and influence from outsiders such as Kings or Popes or others.
The original Qur'an was lost.
It was written on the road by friends of Muhammad. Muhammad, at that time, was illeterate so his assocaites or disciples wrote it down as he related it. That was lost.
Later Muhammad learned to write and read to a degree.
Today's Qur'an were written, if I'm not mistaken, after his death by some of his followers and associates who where there and heard his verbal citations.

I don't know about the Koran, but there are an estimated 40 different writers of the Bible.
More than 14,000 manuscripts and fragments of the Hebrew Tanakh exist, as do numerous copies of the Septuagint, and 5,300 manuscripts of the Greek New Testament, more than any other work of antiquity.

Muhammad wrote the Koran - an "angel of light" gave it to him
the Bible was written by about 40 different people over a period of 1600 years from various countries in 3 different languages - yet there is one main theme through it all - God loves everyone and wants all of us to come to Him

The bible has numerous Authors (about 40)
The Quran has no Author , it was brought down by God & revealed to Muhammad (saw), The Quran is the only religious book that has not been authored by men

Muhammad was illiterate- could not read or write. All the verses were passed to him thru the angel Gabriel. Muhammad then recite the verses which were recorded down by his scribes.
The bible was written by Matthew, Mark, John and Luke Skywalker.

The episodes in Bible is a collection of writings from the disciples of Jesus who have recorded several happenings and the words of Jesus on various occasions. Quran on the other hand is the revelations to Prophet Mohammad and recorded. nagarajan.

about 40 different people wrote the bible over aobut 1,400 years and the koran is said to be written by some guy named mohammed. no of these people were divinely inspired by the way.
