my neighbor is claiming to be "dangerously allergic" to my 6 lb. well groomed Maltese. Yet, she does not claim to have any problems with any of the other dogs in the building.
is it possible to be allergic to only my dog?

Unlikely.
Now, it is possible to have more of an allergic reaction to some dogs than others. For instance, the dogs that shed more or have a dander problem. Or it is possible to be allergic to certain grooming products: There are a number of soaps and shampoos my mother can't use.
But you say your maltese is well-groomed. So I'm thinking that your neighbor is just being a spiteful little piece.

It's possible to be allergic to one specific dog if there's something about its grooming that irritates you. But it sounds from your post that she's looking for a reason to have a problem with your dog. You're in an apartment building? Any chance she wants to make you get rid of your dog? Maybe she thinks your dog is an annoying yipper but doesn't want to say anything. So she pulled out this excuse instead.

I doubt it, especially a maltese. Besides - she would have to be handling your dog to have any symptoms (she could be allergic to the dander, the fur or the saliva). Is it possible she's just allergic to your dog because she doesn't like it??

Actually, according to my Allergist, yes you can be allergic to a specific dog. Depends on your body's immunities and what is in that dog's saliva and dander.

yes u can i have a jack Russel he used to make me sneeze and runny eyes i have to get eye drops i was OK and have been since does ur neighbor like dogs or just saying this as they do nt like ur dog that whta i check out
