I have a DVD that has material on both sides. My DVD player won't read side two. The DVD was left on the table for a few days uncovered. Is there a way to fix it?

I had a similar problem with some music CD's. I left mine out of the case on the kitchen table which gets very bright sunlight. After about 2 days of this they wouldn't read in a cd player buy my computer could still read them.

If it is sunlight damage and if you can still read it in a computer you may want to make an "archival" copy of the dvd. If it is legal in your area make a copy (do not sell it) and keep the original dvd. That may be your best chance.

Rinse the disc with water, then dry it off with a cloth that feels good on the skin (like a washrag). Remember to go along the grain of the disc (from the inside out in a circular motion) and you shouldn't have a problem, unless you have a bunch of scratches on one side. Çiao
