Do lots of cardio. Walk or run a couple of miles a day. Lift some weights. The more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism will be. (Don't worry about getting all big and bulky like a man. Women don't have enough testosterone for that to happen.) Eat 1200-1500 calories a day. (Don't eat less than 1200 or your metabolism will slow down.) Fat will come off of your entire body then. There is no way to get fat off just your thighs, though. Your body will choose where the fat comes from.

Barring health issues, like a thyroid problem for example; there are 4 basic areas to consider: - Cardio training, resistance training, diet, and genetics. - Try doing 20-30 minutes of cardio 2 times a week on lifting days, and 1-2 cardio periods 40-60 minutes in duration by themself. Resistance (strength) training, with little or no rest period between sets to keep your heart rate up, 3-4 times a week. Your diet should be high in protein and low in processed sugars. If it's genetics; there's not much you can do other than lift more, run more, and eat an extremely "clean" diet. Check out www.bodybuilding.com - They have great "transformation articles" for men and women in their "supersite". Good Luck!!

The only exercises proven to give you long lean thighs are pilates and dance. Don't listen to the person who said weightlifting won't make you bulky. I have been squatting, walking, running and using ankle weights and my legs definately are very thick and solid now. The only time they were long and lean was when I was a dancer almost full time. The combination of stretching, lengthening and using stability and control in your movements shapes the body in new ways, just look at the differences in peoples body types and the kind of exercise they endorse. the proof is in the pudding.

The best way is to do at least 45 to 60 minutes of cardio 5 days per week. ( I like to walk at a pace of 4 mph) Check with your Dr. first before starting any exercise routine. Also, watch your calories and fat intake...stick with it and before you know it...results are pouring in...Good luck!!!!!
