I'll take a stab at this. Yahoo! Answerers, please vote and give me either a thumbs up or a thumbs down. I'd like to know what you think.
My daughter recently asked me the same question, "how will I know when I'm in love?"
First of all, you already know what love is, love is a familiar feeling, that you've known and felt all your life. You use the word "love" all the time - poets, philosophers and musicians try to tell us about it all the time. Its like that, only stronger. But, what you ask is how do I know I'm _in_ love?
Being in love is comprised of three things: commitment, intimacy and passion.
Commitment
What is your level of commitment to him, and he to you? What would you do? What wouldn't you do? Commitment grows over time and sometimes is enough to keep a couple together even when nothing else remains. Some relationships begin with commitment and love grows out of it.
Intimacy
If you don't have emotional intimacy, then you don't have trust and commitment will wane. Being intimate means trusting him to really know you and understand. It's about understanding and compassion. Does he make you feel good about yourself and you he? Does he make you want to be a better person and you he? This is critical, if you drag each other down, then your relationship will fail.
Passion
You know what passion is. Its that I have a crush feeling, its infatuation - I can't stop thinking about you. Its love, but its not being in love. Most people fall in love because of passion. Its not hooking up. Most relationships that start with hooking up never achieve either commitment or real intimacy - if you just hook up, you can forget about these. Hooking up just violates trust, commitment and intimacy.
When you're in love, you both may not feel the same level of commitment, intimacy and passion; but, when it works you're pretty darn close to feeling it the same.
Enjoy your life, have fun. Falling in love comes easiest when you're not trying; but, once it comes it requires a lifetime of nurturing these three things: commitment, intimacy and passion.

Oh Dear
your heart flutters when you see him
you feel so silly around him and do not care
you could just sit and gaze at his face all day while stroking his hair
you would peel him a grape
you go out of your way to do his laundry
you want to call him in the middle of the night
you secretly search his stuff for signs of other females
in a cutesy way
you sit close to him when he is ill and cater to his every whim.
there are so many things that a girl does when she is in love but when the love is returned a beautiful glow will definitely be noticeable. ahhh young love enjoy the moments doll because they are so short ...next thing he will be farting under the covers and poofing up the covers. yuck men are savages haha but we got to love them.

1. your all idiots
2. love can not be described nor can it it be confirmed
love is one of those things, you cant understand it till you have felt it, ONLY you can decide if you are in love as it is differant for every single person, ( this is why women do not understand men and visa vera). when you re in love you will not need to ask this question, i warn you there is nothing romatic and candle lit about it, you will just know, also, i recommend you wait, as a person who has had experiance in these things, absence DOES make the heart grow stronger if you spend a month (even a year) apart and still can be without him then your set, i warn you though it is a tough test

loving is SELFLESS. it's putting your happiness of your love ones before your own. it's seeing them happy makes you happy. it's letting go even though it will hurt like hell to do so.
loving is UNCONDITIONAL, ABSOLUTE. you don't love because he/she's kind, sweet, thoughtful... you should also love his/her imperfections. you don't love because you need the person but its the other way around. you need the person because you love him/her. you don't love because you expect to be loved in return. you just love unconditionally.
do you mind what other people will think, say or do? don't bother with logic because there isn't any.
if you feel all these emotions, then you are in love. if not, maybe you don't know him well enough. that's okay. you don't have to rush. the falling in love process doesn't have to be fast. the slower it is, the deeper it usually is.

I don;t think there is any way for someone to tell you in words when you will know you fele love fully, it is different really for everyone, and disappointing as it could seem, only you will really know, sorry.

You will think about him always
You will dream of him
You will miss him when he's not there
You will want to spend more and more time with him
You will feel a "soulful connection" with him, and this is greater than bodily lust
