I want to copy home movies from my Sony mini dv handycam to a DVD-RW. Can I send it anywhere in the world and can it be played on any region DVD player? I am in New Zealand and want to send DVDs to my family in U.S.

yes of course. DVDs are so great because provided you burn them with a DVD program, they can be played in a DVD player. i have experience with some Germans and we can exchange DVDs at will

yes and no. The only problem is not all dvd players will play a DVD-RW. The newer dvd playes should. We have 4 dvd players at my house, and only one plays DVD-RW.

Yes it can be played on any DVD player. At least up until it gets erased, accidently or purposely.
