If God was a particular gender, male or female, it wouldn't make Him God.

God is beyond gender and beyond definition. However in Hindu philosophy He is portrayed as 'PURUSHA'(meaning the only male and all others are female) The real meaning is that the Absolute is considered supreme power and the nature and the phenomenon is considered as His creation and hence considered female)

Jesus is a male - but
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
