My daughter's right big toe had an ingrown nail. We soaked it in epsom salts for a few days off and on, and it eventually got soft enough for it to be cut. Now she has a nice, straight across cut that will work well for her as it heals.
Until then, though, the area that had the nail imbedded is very sore and feels almost as bad to her as when the nail was ingrown. We've tried putting a little rubbing alcohol on that area to dry the skin out, but she says it doesn't help.
Anyone have any tips for helping the healing AFTER the nail has been cut?
