No, God never gets tired or falls asleep. Nor does anything happen that He doesn't know about.
Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

He rests, he never sleeps. As author each little thing is decrease than his authority. He would not have a prefer for close eye or sleep. He rests interior the certainty that he's on top of issues. he's a living entity that would no longer be completely understood -that's what makes Him God. what's infinite can't be contained interior the finite.

God is not a human body to get into sleep or nap. God is formless and hence your question is not relevant in respect of a formless God. nagarajan.(Even assuming God is with form, if he starts sleeping what will happen to creation? everything will come to a stand still.)

No He doesn't. In my country there is an expression ..when they see someone is in trouble and they think they deserve it..they say''God doesn't sleep'', meaning God is at work,,sees the sin and punishes..Also the angels don't sleep..If they will sleep satan shall come and cut my hair..

No slumber can seize Him, nor sleep.
All things in heaven and earth are His.
Who could intercede in His presence without His permission?
He knows what appears in front of and behind His creatures.
Nor can they encompass any knowledge of Him except what he wills.
His throne extends over the heavens and the earth,
and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them,
for He is the Highest and Most Exalted.

Depends - the all-seeing, all-knowing, all-loving type would have to, otherwise they'd just get tired and grumpy ;(
Also, sleep-deprivation leads to hallucinations - do you even wanna begin to contemplate what a god would hallucinate about?!
