It's a bedroom and cabinet, 10 sq m, of terracotta and salmon colours, with a sofa, wardrobe, writing desk, bookcase, an office arm-chair and a carpet. Thanks for your tips.

Don't use overhead lighting. Buy "soft" light bulbs with low wattage. Think if you have five lamps and they're 25 watts each and you turn them all on, it's as if you had 125 watts and that's bright!

Make your bed look as soft and comfy and inviting as possible, pillows, an afghan for short naps, make it look as if you want to dive into it as soon as possible,

Use a bankers lamp or a piano lamp at your desk.

Use warm color paintings and photos of places that you just want to spend a lazy day in.

Always play soft music in the background.

Don't put a lot of stuff in there. If you have every surface covered with candles, lamps and books, that will make the room look busy and not cosy.

Very general suggestions... people usually paint the room with 'warm' colours like those dark-ish yellow colours or having softer lighting with the yellowy bulbs instead of those intensely bright white lights you might find in a washroom.
Also some rugs are always nice

Lots of table lamps and mood lighting, and some nice cushions in lots of different textures usually does the trick!

get lots of fluffy cushions on your sofa, I think cushions always make the room look cosy, and perhaps one of those bedspreads, the cosy type that yoou can fling across your sofa........
