I am a man and am going on a holiday to the Isle of Wight next Saturday. *I know: not the most glamourous of all, but we have family there* I usually ask what kind of things I need to take: clothes, toiletries, fun etc; on the internet and I recently discovered Yahoo Answers, so I thought: why not? So, any ideas in case I have missed anything on "Ye Olde Holiday List".

Never been to the Isle of Wight, but if you're going to be staying with family.......well. A good book, plenty of money to go out, and a sense of humour with any of these you will be able to escape if things get too boring or heated.

Credit card. The rest just takes care of itself.
If it's just for a few days, I usually make sure I've got the basic washing stuff, deodorant, underwear, a book and a pen. If it's for a bit longer then I start adding more useful stuff.
So long as you don't leave your house without your wallet, phone, keys, washing stuff and a change of clothes, it's all good.

Money for beer to drown out the fact that you are on the isle of wight! catch the hovercraft over to Portsmouth and try the pubs there they are full of student totty!
